Have you ever wished you could be in two places at once? At the Connected Cisco Store, we can use the Oculus Quest and Meraki cameras to do just that. On this week's episode of Tech Tuesday, our tech expert Brian Domine will show the audience how we can use the Oculus virtual reality headset to immerse ourselves in Meraki cameras deployed throughout the store, to get a birds eye view from anywhere, anytime.

During the episode, Brian will demonstrate how he interacts with the Meraki MV-32 camera using the Oculus. Not only can he see what the camera sees, but the Oculus virtual reality headset places Brian into the camera scene, so he can interact and move around as if he is really in the store. As he leans forward, he can see closer up to investigate any issues he may come across. Even if he was thousands of miles away, Brian would be able to virtually place himself in the store.
At the Connected Cisco Store, we can use the Oculus with our Meraki cameras for store surveillence purposes. We are able to jump from camera to camera, to get a whole picture of everything going on throughout the store. However, the Oculus use case can be extended to many other industries, including entertainment, manufacturing, project management and events.
With the Oculus and Meraki cameras, countless windows of opportunities are opened. Businesses can cut exorbitant travel costs and visit multiple locations in one day, increasing efficiency of both time and money. Locations that are hard to get to and potentially dangerous, such as mines and power plants become easily accessible with these technologies. Learn more about the Oculus Quest and its use cases here.
