Cisco Store Tech Lab Sneak Peek: Contactless Solutions at Cisco Live 2021

Over the last year, we have had to think creatively at the Cisco Store about how we can deploy contactless solutions that are safe and convenient for our customers. That is what led us to envision our very own click and collect solution, in which customers could buy online and pick-up curbside or in store at the Cisco Store located in San Jose, California. At Cisco Live 2021, visitors at our virtual booth in the World of Solutions will get a first look into how this solution would work, demonstrated by our Tech Expert, Brian Domine. Below, we’ll give a sneak peek into what this demonstration will entail. Register for Cisco Live, and your opportunity to visit the Cisco Store Tech Lab in the World of Solutions here.
Click and Collect at the Cisco Store
The Cisco Store Click and Collect solution would begin with customers shopping online and choosing to pick up their items at the store location in San Jose, through the integrations of our ecommerce solution, Adobe Magento Enterprise, and our Square point of sale system. As Brian will demonstrate, customers choosing to “click and collect” would have the ability to visit the store and park in a designated Cisco Store pick-up spot. The Cisco Meraki MV72 camera, made for outdoor use, has the ability to recognize a customer’s vehicle, and alert the store associate upon their arrival. The customer then has the option to choose if they would like to receive their item in store or curbside.

As capacity levels and face coverings in stores are more important now than ever before, we have partnered with Everyangle to ensure customers have a safe experience at the Cisco Store. Everyangle has the ability to use API’s in the Cisco Meraki cameras to count the number of people in store, and can let customers arriving to pick up their orders know if the store is at capacity or not. Everyangle also has mask detection within their video analytics algorithm, to detect different types of face coverings. With the help of Cisco Vision and Cisco Meraki, digital signage at the front of the store can display a message to an unmasked customer, asking them to put on a face covering before going any further into the store.
As Brian will demonstrate, upon his arrival, Cisco DNA Spaces has the ability to recognize his device and send a personalized alert about his order, directing him where to pick it up at the back of the store. He’ll be able to retrieve his items in the designated pick-up locker, and his contactless click and collect experience will be complete!
